Terms of service
Last updated 25 August 2026. These terms cover the ParentUp mobile app and the parentup.co website. We've written them to be read, not skimmed past.
Who we are
ParentUp is operated by ULIS SOLUTIONS ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. Questions about these terms: privacy@parentup.co.
Who ParentUp is for
ParentUp is for adults aged 18 or over — parents and caregivers. Children do not use ParentUp, and you may not create an account for anyone under 18. By using the app you confirm you are at least 18.
What ParentUp is (and isn't)
ParentUp offers educational parenting support: guided courses, daily suggestions, pattern insights, coaching conversations and a private family keepsake. Our content draws on guidance from world-renowned organisations, translated into plain, practical steps.
ParentUp is not medical, psychological, legal or diagnostic advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your family. Always seek professional advice for concerns about your child's health, development or wellbeing. Coach Ella is an AI feature: she is warm and well-informed, but she is not a clinician, and her replies can be imperfect — use your own judgement.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or via parentup.co/delete-account.
ParentUp Plus subscriptions
- The core of ParentUp is free. ParentUp Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks the full experience (unlimited coaching, more Story photos, all scripts, and more).
- Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and Google bills you at the price shown in the store.
- Billing is handled entirely by Google Play. To cancel, open Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ParentUp. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policies. Deleting your ParentUp account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in Google Play too.
- Prices are set in USD and shown in your local currency by Google Play. If we change prices, Google notifies you and the change applies from your next renewal, subject to Google Play's rules.
Your content
Everything you put into ParentUp — child profiles, moments, journal entries, photos, your family Story — remains yours. You give us only the limited permission we need to store and process it so the app works for you (see the app privacy policy for exactly how). We never use your content for advertising and never sell it.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use ParentUp for anything unlawful, or to harm anyone;
- upload content that is abusive, or that you don't have the right to share (only upload photos of children you are the parent or guardian of, or have permission to share);
- try to break, probe or overload the service, scrape it, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows;
- resell ParentUp content or pass it off as your own. You're welcome to share our free articles and printables for personal, non-commercial use.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first.
Our content
The app, website, artwork, courses and scripts are owned by ULIS SOLUTIONS or our licensors. We work hard to keep content accurate and grounded in widely accepted guidance, but we can't promise it is complete or right for your specific situation.
Liability, in plain language
We provide ParentUp with care, but "as is": we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of ParentUp. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending things
You can stop using ParentUp and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, and we may retire features with reasonable notice. If we ever discontinue ParentUp entirely, we will give you notice and time to export your Story.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ParentUp after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales — though if you live elsewhere, you keep any protections and rights your local consumer law gives you.
